So the brilliant costume designer Patricia Field didn't win the Oscar for best costume design for The Devil Wears Prada. But she will always be a winner to me - after all, she was the genius behind the Sex and the City wardrobe. Did you know she has also been styling the Payless ads? For Sunday's red carpet, she designed a special pair of Payless shoes that will be sold in stores for Holiday 2007. They will be a part of the "Red Carpet Collection by Patricia Field" so expect fun, party shoes just in time for the holidays! Here she is on on the red carpet in her creation and her signature crimson red hair.

This kinda makes me think of that mindset that hairstylists always have the worst hair - apparently costume designers always have the worst clothes. But the shoes might be decent; I can't tell from this pic. I'll definitely check out Payless this year to see what she cooks up!
